Commonly Asked Questions
Who are the ResearchMatch volunteers?

ResearchMatch volunteers are registered individuals who are interested in being contacted about research studies that might be a good match for them. Volunteers reside in the US and are of all ages and backgrounds.

How do I get “matched” with volunteers?

After registering and obtaining “recruitment access”, you can search for de-identified volunteers that match your study’s criteria. Next, you will send your IRB-approved contact message to these volunteers through ResearchMatch. If volunteers are interested in learning more, they will release their contact information to you to connect directly with them. Learn more about how ResearchMatch works by visiting the FAQ page.

Is only the Principal Investigator able to register?

No. Anyone who is authorized to conduct recruitment for an approved study can register with ResearchMatch.
